Photogrammetry can be used as evidence in court in terms of crime scene measurements, photographic evidence and many other uses. Some of the main applications include:
- Line of sight reconstruction
- Firearms trajectory modeling
- Artifact mapping (e.g. reconstructing damaged property)
- Internal surveys of murder scenes
The big advantage that a lot of Imagemaster software users state is that at the time of a conventional survey of a scene they are not sure what to pick up. The photographic approach means that once the scene is captured, it is possible to retrospectively measure any distance between two or more points to sub-centimetre accuracy.
