One of the most critical considerations for good / efficient photogrammetry projects is the best possible photography. Wherever possible we recommend an elevated viewpoint. This has the advantage of “seeing” over low level obstructions such as vegetation, walls or vehicles and vastly increases the amount of data in your stereo photographs. Also consider that a stereo pair of images can be acquired with a “heigh” and “low” camera position rather than left and right. The mast can also be used for general elevated photography, particularly of buildings and architecture.
Telescopic Photography Mast (Pole Photography)
With this pole you can reach a height of 15 m (49 ft) maximum. Its minimum length is 1,95 m (6.4 ft). The mast weighs 15 kg (33 lbs), the 4 legs are 8 kg (17.6 lbs). It takes only a free space of 2,5 by 2,5 m (8.2 x 8.2 ft) to get it up. It is manually operated but, thanks to its low weight, that can be done by a single person.
The maximum headload is around 3.5kg, however this could be extended using top guys. With guys it is very stable in high winds.
