Reasonable selection of steel balls and lining plates is an important way to reduce lining wear.Therefore, related staff need to start with the size and quantity of the ball and the hardness ratio between the lining plate and the steel ball of the vertical roller mill to fundamentally reduce the loss of the lining plate during the operation of the vertical roller mill.
Generally speaking, the hardness ratio of the lining plate of the vertical roller mill to the steel ball should be controlled at about 1:0.8. Secondly, the proportion of the ore powder to the steel ball in the vertical roller mill should be controlled. Generally, the ore powder is about twice that of the steel ball. Once this proportion is out of balance, it is easy to cause the low load operation of the vertical roller mill, which will directly impact the steel ball on the lining plate and cause the fracture of the lining plate.
