When I choose export shape file in order to create a DXF output of my polylines (option selected "only visible objects"), the resulting DXF file is corrupt and cannot be opened in AutoCAD.
If I do the same process in PI-3000, the resulting file is fine. Has anyone else had problems creating usable DXF?
The project involved a 360 of a building with a central courtyard, so it was necessary to turn off the outside elevations in order to export the internal ones only.
Also, if specific polylines are defined in order to make some surface photo rendering of a model, it may not be desirable to export these, so again would be turned off.
The dxf export now appears to be readable by AutoCAD with vers. 1.4 ImageMaster, however there are a few glitches in the file format that sometimes need to be fixed in a text editor before it will load...for example, AutoCAD won't read...and will bomb out... if the dxf file have any layer colors set at value "0", also layer names must not have spaces...
