Hey all, I have been reading about family laws in Canada and came across this website: https://www.stephendurbinandassociates.com/legal/. It has mentioned the Family Law Act Of Canada. As per the source, the Act says that every married person is entitled to an equalization of the net family property upon the dissolution of their marriage. The Canadian family law believes that marriage is a partnership, the profits of which should be equally divided upon separation. Is it applicable in all the cases? What are your thoughts about this?
